The Project

Second Bloom is a nonprofit that repurposes flowers for hospice patients in the Monterey Bay region. Our team of volunteers use flowers from special events and other floral donors to repurpose into bedside arrangements. Second Bloom gives the flowers to hospice and they deliver to their patients.

Second Bloom during Covid-19: Second Bloom is working through the pandemic, making every effort to continue sharing the joy of flowers with our hospice and senior living partners. We are encouraging our volunteers to adhere to social distancing & vaccination recommendations as well as use disinfectants & masks (when required) as we go about our efforts to share the beauty of flowers and our love with home bound individuals. If anything this worldwide pandemic has increased the numbers in need and Second Bloom is committed to continuing our services to bring a little bit of joy to those who need it most.
